🔧 Installation: What You Need to Know
This product requires the tyre bead to be slightly broken so the rubber protector can be seated between the tyre and rim edge. For best results, we recommend professional fitting at any local tyre shop, which takes approx. 15–20 minutes.
DIY is possible for experienced users. You'll need:
A manual bead breaker
A tyre inflator or compressor
A heat gun or strong hairdryer (rubber is stiff until warmed)
Basic tools to safely tuck the strip between the rim and tyre
Once warmed, the rubber becomes flexible and can be guided evenly around the wheel. Once installed, reinflate the tyre to lock the protector in place.
